Rain Keepers of the Living Ground speaks to the way life gathers around water, memory and movement. The painting holds two living water places surrounded by red earth, rain flowers, grasses, seed forms, spirals and travelling lines. The white pathways and guardian-like figures move between the circles, carrying a sense of connection across Country. The lilac and white forms speak to rain, return and renewal, while the spirals hold the quiet turning of life beneath the surface. Through repeated dotting, linework and layered pattern, this work reflects the way small water places can become whole worlds. Plants, creatures, pathways and resting places are all connected. Nothing sits alone. Everything belongs inside a larger living system. This painting is about return after dryness, growth after waiting, and the way Country remembers how to wake when water comes back.
