My contemporary art piece shows the deep connection to country through limestone, ochre, flint, water and flora of Boandik country. Our songlines are still here connecting our people to each other and the Ancestors.

I have a deep connection to this country, my birth country.

The solid white areas show the influence of white culture on our civilisation since colonisation and the impact on Aboriginal culture and ways.

Our old encampments are visable and alive in our storytelling by Elders. The songlines of our people evidence the native tracks, rock shelters and flint caves, our burial grounds and the ancient shell midderns.

The footprints of the Boandik are etched in country. The ties are as strong now as they were when our Ancestors walked this country over 65000 years ago.
