I, Mariah Lawrie (skin Name: Imajala), am a descendant of both story lines connected to the Seven sisters and Whale Dreaming. This story depicts the two tribes of the Mirning and Pitjantjatjara people coming together to share their stories of the Seven sisters and the Whale Dreaming, and how it all became connected on country. Two tribes come together to celebrate the Whale and the Seven sisters Dreaming, sharing languages and learning from one another to engage and exchange with their cultural knowledge. The three whales are also represented by dancing and connecting with the ancestors This is a powerful storyline from both sides of my great-great-grandparents' people and tribes.
