This painting is of a star exploding. I wanted to show the connection of aboriginal people have with the stars and how it shapes the seasons and draws out a map for us. I learnt stories from my grandmother about how she used the stars to find her way when she was lost. She also told us about when she saw falling stars and shooting stars. This painting is what I see when I go camping and look up at the stars and beyond and remember what she told me.
