My name is Burthurmarr and it means Brolga. This painting was created while going through a very hard time in my life. I used emotion and expressed it directly onto the canvas without care for aesthetics. It freed me and helped heal me which makes this painting very special. The brolga is jumping up under the full moon, dancing, raging and crying. Letting go, transforming and growing into something new but very old.
