Reconciliation Week theme "Bridging Now to Next". While thinking about both of my home lands, Kaurna yarta and Ngarrindjeri ruwi I think of, Kungari one of our Ngarrindjeri ngatji, I think of the ones that call Kaurna yarta home. I am reminded of the bond we have to our ancestors through our animals. We look back to our ancestors their wisdom and strength as we look forward to future generations and seek our ancestors strength and guidance in guiding our own children and grandchildren into the future. Karrawirra Pari serves, in this piece, as the bridge and while the footsteps go forward we see those ngatji that represent our ancestors looking both forward into the future as we look back and seek their wisdom and guidance, that which we take into the future.
