After discovering Emily’s work and learning her piece was also inspired by another Native American artist, I was inspired to create my own interpretation, reflecting the interconnectedness of Indigenous peoples across different Countries and cultures.\n\nThe skeleton rainbow serpent surrounding the graffiti-style “LANDBACK” text represents resilience, spirit, survival, and the enduring connection between land, identity, and culture despite the ongoing impacts of colonisation. I created this piece while currently on home detention, and the serpent also holds personal meaning for me, symbolising healing, transformation, and my journey towards growth and a positive future.\n\nThis artwork also became a beautiful connection through community. I reached out to Emily to share how deeply inspired I was by her work and to show her my own piece, and through that shared artistic connection we became friends.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Adelaide Festival Centre Shop","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48422193299670,"sku":null,"price":200.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0664\/1270\/8054\/files\/Letiticia_Tish_Fortune_-_Jarli_-_Landback_-_Image_-_OUR_MOB_-_2026.jpg?v=1782451427","url":"https:\/\/shop.adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au\/products\/jarli-landback","provider":"Adelaide Festival Centre Shop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
